A Bit About CNO Web Sites

Our Background


Computer Nutting Out (CNO) was a small computer company that was born in the late 1990's in Christchurch, New Zealand. We covered everything from laptop repairs, home desktop repairs, small business networks, and the sale of new and used computers among other things IT related. After a long hiatus after the year 2000 hoax, we have decided to get back into IT, but rather than being the jack of all trades as we once were, we are going to specialise in web sites.

After investigating the market, we have noticed that there are a lot of web site companies that are offering flashy bling bling sites at exporbinant prices that are out of reach of people starting their own businesses or just wanting to show what they did last weekend at the beach. We want to go back to basics with the web sites we offer. We want to make a site that is pleasing to the eye, represents how our customers (be they business or private/personal) want to be portrayed at a minimum of cost (I mean, who starting their own small business has $5000 - $8000 nzd to get a web site up and running). We limit the amount of super eye candy that we offer, purely because we go by the philosophy of Quality, not Quantity.

Purely for the benefit of our customers wallet, we have decided to stay away from the database driven website and CMS sites and sticking with basic page by page, single template sites. We include a small range of JavaScript features to enhance your site and give it the wow factor (to see more of this, go to our Web Trickery section).

We will also be offering a series of template websites. These templates are offered free (as per the creator's licence), but we will charge a minimal fee to add logos and content too them. These template based sites are ideal for people wanting to get themselves on the web quickly and very cheaply. Please check out our Choice of Templates page for more info.

As we continue, we will be offering more features to our clients, both existing and new, we will be setting up a mailing list to get this information out to you.

Welcome to CNO Web Sites. The new web site is coming along nicely along with our clients sites. This is a new venture for us, moving away from a IT company covering everything from home desktop computer issues to setting up small business networks. We are wanting to stick with the philosophy of doing a small amount of things, but doing them well.. so leads us to cutting back to only web sites. As we say, the new site is being worked on, and there will be a few bugs, so if you find one, please don't hesitate to contact us and we'll get the problem sorted.
